hey, i'm cheni, also known as chuck to some, 16 year old junior. i joined the angelbots at the end of my sophomore year, and i've never been involved with robotics before. i've always been interested in messing with metal, wood, wiring, and all those other fun stuff that tends to make little sparks, occasionally a little *bang* here and there. k'nex probably started it for me, but i got bored quickly, so i started looking for something to keep me interested. talking to friends, i found out there were robotics teams, so here i am. i also waste--i mean spend my time messing with my laptop, which runs ubuntu feisty fawn. linux is definitely the way to go, to all those microsoft and apple lovers out there. *nix all the way.
lets see, i sail alot, with the 6 or so boats my family owns. i actually won a regatta once (thats a sailing race, for those who don't know) all alone. i also played trombone for about 6 years, mostly jazz. currently i'm playing guitar, so far for about 2 years. basically, rap is the only music i cannot stand listening to. i also mess around with photography, using my nice, new nikon coolpix 5400 (my old canon powershot g2 has been retired) and post my *better* photos online. oh, i also have fun in school programming my ti calculator, probably upgrading to C
lastly, my favorite bands: i am willing to bet 29 of every 30 people will not know of the moshav band or soulfarm/c lanzbom, but those two bands are great anyway. i like nickelback, augustana, 3 doors down, the fray, and enya, too. rock in general (as long as they don't overdo the volume/distortion) are good. also, a great acoustic finger-picking guitarist is trace bundy.

as you can tell, my name is josh. i am currently a 16 year old junior in high school. i have been a part of FIRST since i was in sixth grade. i started out in the FLL division until eighth grade when the FTC division was first introduced. i plan to continue with the vEx program for the rest of high school. outside of my many hours of robotics and school, i like to play guitar. i've been playing for around 3 years.i like music a lot. i am a fan of almost every genre of music (except for country). i'm also an enthusiastic member of USY. my favorite sport is definitly ultimate frisbee. i really enjoy action and comedy movies too. i don't really have a favorite movie, but a favorable onesright now are superbad and the bourne ultimatum. i have no idea what else to say about me without revealing personal information, so i'm gonna stop now.

from the little text up there you can probably tell my name is kim, i'm currently 16 and a junior in high school. i've been involved in robotics for five years now; this year is my sixth year. i joined an fll (lego robotics) team in 6th grade and did that for two years and was involved in vex during its first year. this year i'm still in vex and am planning on doing it next year too.

hm, let's see...interests/a life outside of robotics...that's a little tough...just kidding. i just finished my second season on the high school varsity softball team, and i'm starting u18 travel softball for my town along with my first year of tournament softball, LOVING IT =D i don't really do any other sports, kind of sad, i know. besides my friends, my other big interest is art; visual art of course. i am currently looking forward to an art college and possibly a career in the graphic arts field or in video game design. i tend to lean more towards the digital arts, soft shading, and my style of drawing people are based off of realistic anime/manga (if anyone knows what any of this is, kudos to you). ilove photoshop 7.

on another note since this is getting really long, my all time favorite band is evanescence with my chemical romance coming in close second. have fun checking out everyone else's bio and the rest of the site.

hola, i'm mich, contrary to popular belief, i do not like pie. i'm an overworked junior, and love theatre, dance, and lacrosse. i was part of the origional ~angel bots~ team in fifth grade and was part of the FLL team for 4 years and this is my second year in vex. i have a talent for fixing bots, which is why i'm an orthopedic surgeon but not really, 2 years ago i rebuilt the arm 4 times in an hour, not fun. i am wicked awesome, love the red sox, dancing, and being silly. i have a huge, loud family, which makes me wicked loud and energetic, except in the morning. i like chocolate alot, give me chocolate and mashed potatoes, my favorite foods! yayness! i am on the highschool lacrosse team #25! as right defensive wing, if any of you people know what i'm talking about, am on the recreational dance comeptition team at my dance studio, are on theater crew, teach religous ed, and am a couselor at the local ymca.

music, music, music....hmmm. well, i'm not into like rock and that kinda hip hop reggae stuff, they all sound weird. i think the best general description of my musical tastes is the top 40 countdown. ya. carrie underwood rules, and kelly clarkson, oh and chris daughtry i LOVE him! he rocks! oh and speaking of tv shows like american idol; so you think you can dance? RULES! the office is wicked too, and HEROES! becca and i love heros! hiro nakamoura is my favorite!

hey, i'm nawal! i'm 16 and i'm a junior. this is my third year on a vEx team, and i was on a FLL team for four years. i loved it, it was awesome! but i must say i'm also enjoying vEx. my favorite part is the notebook! we write some pretty wicked stuff in it! i learned about vEx from a member on my FLL team, and this year will be my third time to nationals.

besides vEx i love dancing (i take tap and jazz). i've been dancing for four years. i also love singing and listening to music. i like everything basically. volleyball is my favorite sport to play. i'm also in SADD in school and i'm very involved in my church youth group. my favorite color is turquoise and i absolutely love anotonio banderas and dennis quaid. HEROES IS THE BEST SHOW EVER. becca told me to write down my favorite character because she did...so mine is mohindur. he's cool. alright peace.

hello there. i'm julia :) i'm a junior in high school, and i'm 17 years old. this is my third year on a FTC team, and before this i did Lego Robotics for three years. i enjoy wearing my goggles and building. during my time doing robotics, our team has won multiple awards and been to nationals in atlanta, georgia three times (i have participated twice).

along with robotics, my hobbies include writing, reading, photography, and music. i spend most weekends seeing my favorite bands live and spending time with my friends. unlike most high school kids, i actually really enjoy school, and participate in Euphony, the school's literary magazine. this april, i am taking a trip to paris, france with a group of kids from my school, and over the summer i am attending an art camp in vermont where i am focusing on fiction writing and black and white film photography. that's about it! have a lovely day :)

hi!! it's becca. i'm 17 now, i'm a junior, and i haven't reached five feet yet, but i'm PROUD of it!! this is my fourth year doing vEx, and i'm psyched to do it again. i have been involved in lego stuffs for four years along with nawal and michelle. it's been really great!

unlike all these other people, i have a life outside of vEx. just kidding, i actually have no life. just kidding again. i LOVE theatre and acting and singing and anything having to do with musical theatre in general. basically, i'm a theatre nerd. i'm in musicals and plays, and i sing in the select choir at my school. this year i made it into the all state chorus, which is 250 of the best singers in the state sing together at symphony hall after staying at the park plaza hotel. it was AMAZING!!!

i love listening to music, and it doesn't usually matter what song is playing, but i seem to prefer the songs that they choose to play on my favorite radio station, 104.5!! i LOVE HEROES so much!!! it's the best show ever by far. i can't wait for it to come back on! my favorite character is monica, because she's amazing!! ok, i'm done.

i am coach nancy, julia's mom, and am proud to be working with these kids. this is my 4th year coaching robotics, 3 years on the FLL level and one year with vEx. luckily i have always worked with coaches and kids who are technically amazing ang program well because i have very few of these skills. in my other life i am a psychologist and what i bring to the team is my ability to help the group work together, foster self-esteem and promote teamwork. i went to atlanta with my FLL team 2 years ago and can't wait to go again. the kids are a blast to work with. thanks. (oh, i like music too. i sing in a choral group, mostly mozart...who i haven't seen in concert...he's been dead a while!)

i'm coach jill, and am more importantly, becca's mom. i've coached robotics teams for five years, and currently am coaching a way cool FLL team, the eris bots, at the same time as the fabulous and multi-talented angelbots.

what's fun for me is to watch how the kids solve problems together and build robots together without ever missing a snack. we can enjoy brownies, cookies, soda AND build the coolest robots.

i'm quite proud of the team's accomplishments, and am sad to have missed the well earned trip to atlanta.

i'm coach ron, josh's dad. i've been a robotics coach for 3 years starting with FLL and have moved along with josh. i've determined that coaching VeX teams is like hearding cats only not as easy. by day i work as a techie for some company in boston by night i watch kids build bots. i'm pretty boring other than i'm a YANKEES FAN (GO YANKEES!) living in the heart of redsox nation. unlike josh, i have no musical talent but i like hard rock and classical. lately i've been listening to gorillaz.
